En route

A film about a chance encounter between two men and their journey along the East German border. Bruno repairs 35mm machines in provincial cinemas, Robert flees from his marriage. The film is both a document of the downfall or transformation of provincial cinemas into porn cinemas, but also a story of sons' relationships with their fathers. Fathers who, at Wim Wenders, represent German history itself.
