This evening, four young singers from the Opera Academy have been inspired by the legendary opera diva Maria Callas and her wide and versatile repertoire. Although Maria Callas was especially known for her interpretations of Italian opera, her artistic work spanned far beyond, and her repertoire was both extensive and nuanced. This is exactly what the young singers have been inspired by — and at the concert you get both close and far in the world of opera.
The event is a collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Music, and on the programme are arias from the operas Carmen, La Boheme, I Puritani, Valkyrien, Samson and Dalila, Gianni Schicchi, The Wedding of Figaro, Werther, L'Amico Fritz, Dido and Aeneas, Spar Dame and others.
Opera singers: Helena Bjarkadottir Mathilda Sidén Silfver Berte Wiggers Lyneburg Linnea Andersson
At the piano: Thomas Darelius
The concert is introduced by opera dramaturge and lecturer in opera history at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Nila Parly.
