The musical world is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss son — the undisputed king of the waltz and one of the greatest showmen of the 19th century. His music, full of elegance, lightness and Viennese charm, continues to delight listeners around the world.
On this occasion, a unique concert was created, which is a real journey through time — to the era of balls, crinolines and danced salons of Vienna. The program will sound the most beautiful melodies of Strauss and his contemporaries, interspersed with fascinating stories about the life and career of the composer. Among the works performed will be his greatest hits, such as “On the beautiful blue Danube”, “Great fame is a joke” or “Aria Adela”, but also rarely performed gems such as “Kuplety Orłowski” or “Ninana, ninana”.
The stage will be performed by outstanding artists: Roksana Korban (soprano), Justyna Gęsicka (mezzo-soprano) and alternately tenors: Krzysztof Zimny or Szymon Rona, who will captivate the audience with their voice and interpretation of Straussian gems — the artist's most beautiful compositions and operettas. The role of Johann Strauss himself will be played by Wojciech Kołaczyk or Jacek Dominiczak, talented violinists who will enchant the audience with virtuosity and stage charisma. Fragments of the Gypsy Baron, The Night in Venice or Revenge of the Bat will remind you of the golden era of the Viennese operetta!
