“Melodies of Memory — From Mieczysław Fogg to Anna German” is a program that will include the most famous works of two outstanding Polish singers, and the music will be accompanied by a story about their life, work and the times in which they came to create. The audience will hear, among others, “This Last Sunday”, “Autumn Roses”, “Tango Milonga”, “Cold Bastard”, as well as “Human Fate” and “Dancing Eurydice”.

The concert will be a musical journey through the history of Poland in the 20th century — from pre-war Warsaw, through the years of World War II, to the post-war reconstruction of cultural life.

Aleksandra Okrasa (soprano), Wojciech Bardowski (baritone) and the instrumental ensemble Varsovia Nova under the direction of Krzysztof Jaszczak will perform. The event will be hosted by Aurelia Sobczak.

The concert is part of the celebration of the Year of Mieczysław Fogg established by the Sejmik of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the artist's birth.
