Only the Pfister siblings succeeded so perfectly in portraying the entertainment scene of the 60s, 70s and 80s. That was the time when there were still television programs that worked across generations. They lovingly parody the sweet-lying kitsch of the industry, artful, ambiguous and “only seemingly innocent” (Die Welt) .Ursli Pfister alias Christoph Marti spent his childhood and youth in Switzerland in the 1970s. His program about Peggy March reflects this period. American Peggy March was one of the most successful pop singers in German-speaking countries between 1965 and 1980. Even though many today frown because they don't immediately remember the name as soon as “At 17 still dreams”, “Carnaby Street” or “Memories of Heidelberg” is played, a glow of memory flits across their faces. She has accompanied an entire generation from childhood to the adult world.
Christoph Marti takes us back to this time with the stories of his childhood and the songs by Peggy March, we get to know Mrs. Huggenberger and will be surprised to be able to sing along so many songs word for word.
