What does Wawel sound like when we listen to it more closely? Footsteps, echoes, chatter — on a daily basis, many sounds escape our attention. During the workshop we will try to find them and discover how they affect our sense of place.
We invite you to a relaxing meeting in the historic interiors of the Wawel. We will focus on sounds near and far, clear and barely audible. We will examine what associations and memories evoke and how our experience of space changes when we give ourselves time to listen.
Sensory and auditory exercises will become an opportunity to rest, develop mindfulness and discover the relationship between man, nature and architecture. We will get to know Wawel as a place that not only tells about the past, but also resonates with life here and now.
There is no need for preparation or musical knowledge — curiosity and willingness to slow down for a moment are enough.

Teacher:
Łukasz Stawarczyk — a graduate of the Faculty of Acting PWST in Krakow (2013), since 2020 in the ensemble of the National Old Theatre in Krakow. Winner of the acting award in Kalisz (2023) and ensemble awards, including MESS Sarajevo, Divine Comedy in Krakow, New Dramaturgy in Bydgoszcz for the play Cezara Goes to War by Cezary Tomaszewski. He cooperates with Komuna Warszawa, he has worked, among others, in Łaznia Nowa, Ringlokschuppen Mülheim, Forum Freies Theater Düsseldorf, Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz. He has performed at festivals in Santiago, New York, Edinburgh, Yaoundé and St. Petersburg.
Małgorzata Walenda — actress and singer, a graduate of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow. She has collaborated with the New Theatre in Poznań, the Capitol in Wrocław, currently associated with the National Old Theatre in Krakow. Winner of acting and vocal awards, appreciated for her dramatic and musical roles.
