Gaba Kulka at the 5th Lydia Wysocka Festival

We invite you to a unique recital on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Lydia Wysocka Festival. In addition to songs from his own repertoire, during the recital Gaba Kulka will also perform works from the repertoire of the patron saint of the Festival, prepared especially for our invitation.

Gaba Kulka — singer, pianist, author of words and music, mother. She revealed herself to a wider audience in 2009 with the groundbreaking album “Hat, Rabbit”. She has released five original albums so far: “Out”, “Hat Rabbit”, “Versions”, “The Escapist”, “Brittle”. She sang and played on a dozen others, in collaboration with musicians such as Jan Młynarski, Olo Walicki, Smolik, Konrad Kucz, and the Baaba band. She recorded with equal success the songs of Iron Maiden and Wojciech Młynarski. She has written lyrics and music for other artists (e.g. for the band Hey, Emmanuelle Seigner, Natalia Kukulska and Reni Jusis). She has translated the songs of Talking Heads and Leonard Cohen into Polish. For years she was associated with Polish Radio, after leaving Trójka she also hosted her own music podcast “Dom”. Awarded Fryderyk Award for Female Vocalist of the Year, nominated for Polityka Passports. In recent years, she was most often heard in the Młynarski Plays Młynarski line-up. He has recently presented new songs at his concerts, in preparation for the next release.
