Vaiana is an acting version of the beloved, Oscar® -nominated Disney animation of the same name. Teenage Vaina answers Ocean's call and sets off beyond the reef of her home island Motunui for the first time. She is accompanied on this journey by the legendary demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson). Together, they boldly embark on a dangerous mission to restore the island's lost prosperity. The film was directed by Emmy® and Tony® Award winner Thomas Kail (Hamilton). Produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and executive produced by Thomas Kail, Scott Sheldon, Charles Newirth and Auliʻi Cravalho. In the film, we will hear original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetai Foaʻi and Mark Mancina, who also composed the soundtrack for the film.
