Valter Nilsson

Valter Nilsson turns life's little dramas into soul-rock wellsounds in Ideal Bar

Valter Nilsson has in a short time marked himself as one of Sweden's most talked about new voices, and in March he released the album Högsbo Riviera.

On this album, he refines his soul-rock sound with everyday tales, presences and grandiose choruses. The sound picture is expanded with both fans and strings. Overall, it's a sound filled with both confidence and humility. It is triumphant and at the same time a little painful.

The album has been met with high praise, including from the Swedish GAFFA, who gave it five stars and wrote: “In a short time Valter Nilsson has become one of the country's most beloved artists. With the new album, he shows how personal stories can feel real.”

Valter Nilsson debuted in the spring of 2025 in Swedish with the album Bland de och de brennda. Since then, the Swedish artist's career has taken off and his songs have quickly found their way to a growing audience.

This became evident, among other things, when he rounded off 2025 with three sold-out concerts at the venue Nefertiti. Here, Göteborgs-Posten awarded him full plate and the words: “Sälj era barn för en bilett”.

On November 7, Valter Nilsson is ready to drape Ideal Bar in Swedish soul, stirring tales and infectious melodies.
