About:Jeanette Varberg tells us about the popular and fascinating part of our history, about how the Vikings made their mark in the Europe of the time through battles, trade, power struggles, battles and conquests.
Hear about often overlooked aspects of the Viking Age world, such as the crucial roles of women and other occupations of the time such as skald, the importance of the slave kingdom and the relationship between the Viking faith and Christianity.
With Jeanette Varberg's many titles as museum inspector, archaeologist, author and Viking expert, she has both dealt with the Viking Age in history and suspense books.
The history club lecture is part of the History Club at Brønshøj Library, but everyone is welcome with a ticket.
About Vild med science:Events are part of Copenhagen Libraries' “wild with science” festival that takes place in October and November. You can experience the dissemination of science to adults in many different formats at all Copenhagen Libraries.
