“For me, music is a home, a good place. The counterpart to this is silence. Meditation brings me home to myself,” says soprano Vera-Lotte Böcker. Our Artist in Residence invites meditation teacher Holger Yeshe, who has practiced as a Buddhist monk in Nepal, India and Europe for many years, to her portrait evening. An evening of talks about the connection between music and meditation, guided meditation for beginners and works performed by Trio E.T.A., which are particularly close to Vera-Lotte Böcker's heart.
Program: Franz Schubert: 2nd movement “Andante con moto” from the Piano Trio in E flat major op. 100 D 929; 10-minute meditation: no previous knowledge required; Bohuslav Martinů: Piano Trio No. 2 in D minor
