Berliner Verlagspreis 2026 award

Venue: Chamber - Since 2018, the Berlin Publishing Prize has been awarded jointly by the Berlin Senate Departments for Economics, Energy and Enterprises as well as Cultural and Social Cohesion and is funded by the European Union from the “ERDF Berlin Operational Programme 2014-2020”. All Berlin-based publishers with an annual turnover of up to two million euros can apply for the Berlin Publishing Prize. Publishers that are majority-owned by a larger publishing group are excluded from awarding, provided that they generate a total turnover of more than two million euros. The Grand Berlin Publishing Prize, which is endowed with 26,000 euros, and two Berlin Publishing Awards of 15,000 euros each, are awarded. The three other publishers on the shortlist, which will be published on September 8, 2026, will receive recognition in the amount of 4,000 euros. The Berlin Publishing Prize honors publishers whose publications stand out from the mainstream (not only) of the Berlin publishing landscape in the best sense of the word.
