How can the intertwined stories of colonialism and National Socialism be conveyed — and what role do provenance research and restitution play in this?
The event highlights the interfaces between colonial and Nazi history and shows how provenance research can help make intertwined memories visible. Patrick Helber will report on the collaborative project “Intertwined Memories” and his work at the Humboldt Forum with a focus on multi-perspective educational work. It will be discussed how provenance research and intertwined stories can be conveyed. Finally, we look back at the four appointments and collect the most important ideas and methods for further placement practice.
