Crazy about Science - The Riddle of Origin, Life and Consciousness

Join us on a natural philosophical journey from the Big Bang to human consciousness as philosopher Morten Grønborg talks to three of the greatest science communicators of recent times: astrophysicist Anja C. Andersen, geologist Minik Rosing and author and natural science thinker Tor Nørretranders.

It happens as three talks on three Thursdays in November 2026.

Morten Grønborg is a PhD in philosophy and author of the book Everything is Always in Motion — A Tale from the Beginning of Time. It is a modern origin story in which the cosmos, life and consciousness are tied together in one unified narrative. The book provides the framework for the three conversations in which Morten Grønborg, together with his interlocutors, will trace the three greatest mysteries of science:

The riddle of the origin of everything — with Anja C. AndersenThe riddle of how life arose and spread on Earth — with Minik RosingThe riddle of why humans have consciousness — with Tor Nørretranders.Natural philosophy is the link between natural science and philosophy, and in these conversations the latest knowledge about the universe, life and consciousness is combined with the great philosophical questions of origin, existence and man's place in the world. The aim of the talks is to create an understanding of how the cosmos, our planet, life and human culture are interrelated.

About Vild med science:The events are part of Copenhagen Libraries' “wild with science” festival that takes place in October and November. You can experience the dissemination of science to adults in many different formats at all Copenhagen Libraries.
