Øbro Jagtvej Library invites you to take a unique tour in the footsteps of the historic witch burnings, when on this city walk through inner Copenhagen we connect history with magical thinking and dance

About the event

Discover tales tied to the city and get led into the folk beliefs, gossip, witches and womanizing of the time, and become privy to the secrets of Satanic coins, rituals and mysterious happenings.

The city walk is specially designed for the subject and cannot be experienced anywhere else - it is a unique experience and a look into the occult underside of Copenhagen and bringing to life the story of witches in Denmark.

Our guide:

Sarah Ann Lee is a choreographer, dancer and communicator with an interest in the interspaces of the city, the kinship between art and ritual and the sharing of knowledge, as something that also flows between us through the senses, across times and bodies.

Practical information:

We meet in front of the Irish green lions in front of Rosenborg Palace in the King's Garden and the tour begins at 4:30pm! (Please arrive a little earlier).

The tour ends at Gammeltorv. Bicycles cannot be brought on the trip.

Everyone please bring a coin - the coin will be included as part of a ritual on the walk. Note that you will not get it back.

About Love with Science:

The event is part of Copenhagen Libraries' “wild with science” festival that takes place in October and November. You can experience the dissemination of science to adults in many different formats at all Copenhagen Libraries.
