SleepSleep is one of the most important functions of the brain. But sleep has become an irritant for many. We'll take a closer look at why we need to sleep and what sleep actually does to our brains.
What are the consequences if you sleep too little — and is there any reason to worry if you have trouble sleeping? Is there any good sleep advice that actually works?
About the author:Thomas Thaulov Raab has published several books about the brain, including The Changeable Brain and the Wonderful Consciousness and A Book on Memory (together with Peter Lund Madsen). The current lecture is based on the book Mystery of the Sleeping Brain, co-written with Peter Lund Madsen, who unfortunately passed away shortly before the book's publication.
