Crazy about science: How to get a better night's sleep

Meet renowned sleep researcher Birgitte Rahbek Kornum. We need to hear about what sleep is, why we sleep, and how sleep affects our health, memory, mood, appetite, performance, and more. For this lecture, Birgitte will translate the latest knowledge about sleep into practical advice for anyone who wants to sleep better.

Sleep seems to pose a fundamental challenge for modern man. In fact, Danish studies show that up to half of all respondents have sleep problems. So what can you do when the “refined cogs of sleep” tease? For the lecture, Birgitte will give advice on how you can get more quality sleep and fewer sleep worries.

About Birgitte Rahbek Kornum Birgitte Rahbek Kornum has been working on sleep research for almost two decades. Today she is the leader of a research group at the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Copenhagen. Previously, she has worked as a researcher at Stanford University in California and at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

She is the author of several books on sleep, including the book “Do You Sleep? How to get a better night's sleep”.
