VIVALDI AND ME

A new film from the producers of “Great Beauty” and “Youth”. A colorful, gripping, music-filled story about one of the most outstanding composers in history — Antonio Vivaldim.

Venice, the beginning of the 18th century — a city of contrasts. On the one hand, wealth, art and moral freedom, on the other, strict religious institutions and clear social divisions. At the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage, talented teenage violinist Cecilia (Tecla Insolia) finds herself under the wing of a new teacher — Antonio Vivaldi (Michele Riondino). Surrounded by his care, she begins to believe that she can avoid an arranged marriage and fight for her own way.
