Role models for you and me

The picture books “The Little Hummingbird” by Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas, “In the Garden of Grandma Apo” by Wei Tang and “Uncle Flores” by Eymard Toledo are read.

Grandma Apo and Uncle Flores make the world a better place! Grandma Apo does this by growing vegetables and fruit on the roof of the garden of her house in a city in Japan and giving them away to many people. Uncle Flores sews curtains for the inhabitants of his village, which suddenly no longer looks grey but colorful and diverse. And the little hummingbird? He makes the world better by doing what he can!

The books are exciting for children aged 3 — 6, but also delight older visitors.
