In the royal garden. In the footsteps of Józef Piłsudski and his family in the Łazienkowski Park

We invite you to a historical walk through the Royal Łazienki in the footsteps of Józef Piłsudski. We will look at places related to his public activities and private life, as well as tell about his family and work for a reborn Poland. The walk will be the symbolic opening of this year's Independence Day celebrations.

A guided walk through the Royal Łazienki will be an opportunity to discover places related to the private life and activities of Józef Piłsudski. Participants will see the Belvedere, learn about the history of the Magdeburg House, where the Marshal was imprisoned during the First World War, and visit the playgrounds of his daughters, Wanda and Jadwiga, including the area around the Belvedere Pond. There will be stories about the wedding of Józef Piłsudski and Aleksandra Szczerbińska, the Marshal's walks in the Romantic Garden and his visits to the Palace on the Island and the Royal Theatre.

The walk will be led by certified guides of the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejowek.
