In pursuit of greatness

We cordially invite you to the Syrena Cinema-Theater for the performance “IN PURSUIT OF GREATNESS”, a play inspired by the lyrics of Tadeusz Różewicz and directed by Elżbieta Kalińska. Starring: Justyna Godszling-Graczyk, Dariusz Łaniewski, Marlena Nowaczyk, Marlena Nowak, Ewa Panek, Eugeniusz Panek, Emilia Łaniewska, Paweł Wyrębak and Tomasz Wróbel.

Man seeks his place all his life, he runs after dreams, after meaning, after his personal greatness, sometimes so much he wants to save his own world that he even “takes over “it: here is my house, my mommy, my garden, my plum, my rations, my truths... Where is the line between the desire for fulfillment and vile egoism...? “In Pursuit of Greatness” is a poetic story about human, choices, longings and illusions. The show does not give ready-made answers. It does not promise hope, it leaves questions, and the answers perhaps await viewers on the other side of the stage. Portraits of characters so different visually, and so similar in their quest to capture the whole of reality to create their own personal paradise. Is it possible to reflect, is it possible to return to this we will not find out today, but perhaps we will find out on October 11...?
