In a sculptural duo

Piotr Triebler, a native of Silesia, and Teodor Gajewski, a native of Bydgoszcz, probably met for the first time at the State School of Art Industry in Bydgoszcz, where they both studied. They learned the secrets of sculptural art under the guidance of excellent artist-educators — Jan Wysocki, Felix Giecewicz, Marian Kiersnowski and Jerzy Wankiewicz. Since the second half of the 1920s, young sculptors have actively participated in the artistic life of Bydgoszcz, exhibiting their works at exhibitions. The lecture will present well-known, representative objects by both sculptors, unpreserved sculptures, as well as monumental realizations created during work in a joint studio.
