IN THE HEART OF THE WILDERNESS

After a plane crash, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his dog Odin find themselves in the heart of wild Alaska. Together they are forced to take up the struggle for survival.

“In the Heart of the Wild” is a gripping thriller directed by acclaimed creator David Ayer (“Fury”, “Suicide Legion”).

In James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and a dog named Odin, he sees brothers in arms — two comrades willing to do anything to keep the other alive.

“After surviving things that couldn't be endured, in Iraq and Afghanistan, they face another challenge,” Ayer says. “In my imagination, James made a promise to the dog, something like, 'If we get out of this, I'll take you fishing. ' There is something extremely magnetic about a man trapped in a remote area. We've all been cold once. We've all been lost once. We were all hungry.

This film takes viewers on such a journey and makes them wonder: would I be able to survive something like this? But it is also a story of devoted partners who never give up on themselves, who care more about the safety of others than their own, and who would sacrifice their lives for themselves in an instant.”

So did producers Damien Chazelle, the Oscar-winning director of La La Land, and his partner Olivia Hamilton. “The simplicity of the script and the struggle between man and wildlife in it immediately captivated us,” Hamilton says. “He didn't try to be overly complicated and at the same time he was speaking to a very wide audience. Yes, it's an action-adventure movie, but there's also a lot of emotion in it.”
