IN THE HEART OF THE WILDERNESS

After a plane crash in the heart of wild Alaska, veteran former Special Forces soldier James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his fighting dog Odin are cut off from the world left to their own devices. Together they must fight for survival in the face of the brutal forces of nature.

In the Heart of the Wild, a film by acclaimed director David Ayer, is an intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend in the face of their biggest battle yet.

The film will also see Oscar winner J.K. Simmons and Anne Lambe, but IN THE HEART OF THE WILD is a fully Brad Pitt film, the first film in nearly a decade to feature Pitt in the lead role without a large supporting cast.

IN THE HEART OF THE WILD is also a reunion between director David Ayer and Pitt, who previously worked on the 2014 war drama FURIA. However, Ayer believes that in the new film Pitt shows himself from a whole new side: He is a real beast. He was sensitive and opened up in a way I had never seen before. People who have watched the film constantly emphasize how raw, believable and deep its role is.
