In the style of fin de siècle: The image anew

Is it possible to decompose the image into parts and create it anew?

What happens when we change its composition, remove fragments or put it together with other elements? The starting point will be selected paintings from the exhibition “Olga Boznańska and... Polish painting of the 19th and early 20th centuries from the collection of the National Museum in Gdańsk”.

We will look at their composition, details and how they build meaning. Then, by deconstructing the image, you will cut, transform and combine its fragments, creating completely new compositions. In the work we will use reproductions, photographs, texts and a variety of materials, experimenting with layout, scale and meaning. The workshop will become a space of free interpretation, between analysis and creative action.
