In the world of Erna (7-12 years old)

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to creative family workshops that accompany the exhibition “You are at the heart of change. Surrealism and Anti-Fascism.”

The protagonist of our workshop will be Erna Rosenstein — a versatile artist with an extraordinary sense for creating incredible images and stories full of magic and mystery. At first, we will try to enter her imagination and read together fragments of fairy tales by her. We will find out who Erna was, what she dreamed of and how she looked at the world. We will also visit the exhibition to see her painting with our own eyes.

What are we gonna do?

In the workshop part we will make unusual props. The symbols from the painting “Peaceful World” will become the inspiration for their creation. We will dwell on where this eponymous place is hidden and who lives in it. Finally, we will prepare projects of surreal furniture and gadgets that would be in our personal “peaceful world”.
