Autumn in the garden does not mean the end of the season at all. It is a good time to think about the next months, plant plants that will pay off with fruits in a while and, by the way, take advantage of the scents and materials that nature gives us. During the October meeting “In the Green Cycle” we will combine practical gardening with family crafts.
The first part of the workshop will be spent in our central garden, where together we will create a berry corner. We will put on gloves, prepare the soil and plant the fruit plants, while observing what they need to take well and produce crops in the following seasons. We will also talk about berry fruits, their nutritional values and why it is worth finding a place for them even in a small urban garden.
After gardening work, we will move on to the world of autumn scents. With a cup of warm herbal infusion, we will create our own scented sachets, which we will fill with dried flowers and herbs. Each participant will compose their own fragrance and take the finished, fragrant souvenir home with them.
The workshop will be conducted by Anna Khlebnikov (MiastowGord) — educator and animator, who through practical activities shows children and adults that contact with nature is also possible in the city, and caring for the immediate environment is best learned through a common experience.
We provide all the materials and tools you need during the workshop.
Tickets are 30 PLN. Link to tickets: https://www.strefazajec.pl/course/view/id/96833
We invite children along with their parents and caregivers — let's plant together something that will remain in our garden for the next seasons, and take a piece of its autumn scent home with us.
