WALTZ, CHAMPAGNE AND BIG HITS | New Year's Eve Concert

On December 31, the music will sound with great power. The elegance of the Viennese waltz will meet with the energy of great hits, classics with film music, operetta and musical, and the last evening of 2026 will become an opportunity to celebrate together in the best musical style.

The Suwałska Chamber Orchestra invites you to an extraordinary New Year's Eve concert “Waltz, champagne and great hits” — an evening full of brilliance, emotions, well-known melodies and musical surprises.

31 December, 8 p.m.
Hall named after Andrzej Wajda
5 Pope John Paul II Street

The star of the concert will be Agnieszka Sokolnicka, an outstanding soprano endowed not only with a unique voice, but also with extraordinary stage energy. Together with the Suwałki Chamber Orchestra and conductor Kazimierz Dąbrowski, he will take the audience on a colorful musical journey, in which there will be no shortage of Viennese waltzes and polkas, operetta hits, touching film themes, musical hits and songs that have held a special place in our memory for years.

Among other things, we will hear compositions by Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár and Jacques Offenbach, as well as unforgettable melodies of film, musical and popular music. The program will include “Nella Fantasia”, “Dance all night”, “Moon River”, “Unforgettable”, “Boy with a guitar”, “Remember, it was autumn” and “The heart beats in the rhythm of cha-cha”.

It will be elegant, romantic and touching, but above all — with energy worthy of New Year's Eve. The concert was conceived as a meeting with the audience, in which music becomes an excuse to experience together, smile and celebrate. There will be conversations, anecdotes and direct contact with the audience, and the host of the evening Agnieszka Sokolnicka will share not only her voice, but also her personality, temperament and stories.

And since New Year's Eve is governed by its own laws, there are also some surprises waiting for the audience. However, we keep their details secret

Agnieszka Sokolnicka is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań. In 2010, she joined Opernelitestudio at the Staatstheater Lübeck, while continuing her education at the Musikhochschule Lübeck. She is a laureate of the International Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg competition and a semi-finalist of the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. She performed on stages in Poland and abroad, including in Lübeck, Brunswick, Palermo, Lucca, Livorno, Pisa and Ravenna.

Her repertoire includes opera, operetta, musical, film music and popular music. This extraordinary versatility allows it to move freely between different styles —
from classical elegance to the greatest hits — creating a concert full of diversity, yet coherent and sophisticated.
