Warhaus

Warhaus, aka Maarten Devoldere, is back with the album 'The Donkey' and with it a tour that comes by Amager Bio. The album marks a new chapter in his distinctive universe of dark, sophisticated pop. Where the previous releases have often revolved around the elegant and cinematic, the new songs contain a more immediate and physical energy inspired by South African Gqom.

The singles 'Simple Pleasures' and 'The Baby' point in different directions and show the span of the album. One pulls towards the stylish and melodic, the other towards something more intense and uncontrollable. With 'The Donkey' Warhaus will open the door to a universe where control and chaos constantly challenge each other and where music can take unexpected turns.

On stage, though, it's not a question of either-or, for Warhaus reconciles the contrasts and lets them coexist. The audience can therefore look forward to a concert where new material from The Donkey meets the songs that have made Warhaus one of the most significant names on the European indie and art pop scene.
