The Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra was created out of a love for the repertoire of the golden age of Polish music of the interwar period. She made her debut in 2015 at the Folk Festival of Polish Radio “Nowa Tradycja”.
She encourages dance fun in the albums “Umówmy się na hoy” (2016) and “Tańcz moj złoty” (2017), to sing together in “Śpiewnik kolędowy” (2017), to reflect on the everyday life of the soldier in the album “Płyń Wisełko” (2018). The orchestra has already established itself on the national music scene, having received hundreds of concerts — including symphony orchestras, organized as part of the project on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its activity.
The band captivates crowds of people to dance and captures their hearts with their original works and sentimental arrangements of old songs, giving the audience both a journey into the past and entertainment here and now, in Poland of the 21st century. Forgotten stirrups, touching fights, passionate tangas, thrilling foxtrots, rumbies and slow-foxes, the world of Aston, Tuwim, Vars, Hemar, the Gold brothers and Ordonówna gain a second life thanks to the Orchestra.
In 2026, the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra won a nomination for the Fryderyk 2026 Award in the Music of the Roots Album of the Year category for their album entitled “Orange Dawn”.
