Painting workshop

Do you miss painting workshops where you can just take a brush in your hand and paint? We invite you to meetings that combine painting practice with experimentation and attentive viewing — from working with the complexity of nature to abstract simplification. We will look at selected painting issues, drawing inspiration from the works presented at the exhibition. We provide materials, canvases and tea. Everyone will come out with their own image.

When: Meetings once a month, on Thursdays, from 17:30 to 20:00.

For whom: For local residents, for people tired of the city, people working and looking for creative rest, students, people looking for activities without using the phone, for creative people - both amateurs and professionals.

Admission: 10 zł

Conducted by: Adam Olczak-Lipman - Artist - painter and graphic artist, master of art, chairman of the LAAF Association - Lodz Abstract Art Festival. His work is dominated by abstract forms, in which he combines emotions with the analysis of the form of the work.

Agata Rynkowska - Graduate of Visual Design specialization at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In his work and educational activities, he combines new and classical artistic techniques. She is intrigued by art as a method of therapy and an aid in the processing and expression of emotions.

CUBISM

During the course you will learn about cubism — a direction in art that learns reality through simplified, geometric forms and shows objects from several perspectives at the same time.

RHYTHMS

By looking at reality, we will catch repeated layouts, lines, shapes and colors, transforming them into rhythmic painting compositions.

FAUVISM

When painting, you will get to know Fauvism — a direction distinguished by intense, contrasting colors, free form and expressive way of representing reality.

BLUETRASS

These classes are for people who want to get to know the background of painting and framing works. You will assemble bleitrams with your own hands - you will prepare sublandscapes on which in the future you will be able to create your own image. You choose the format, stretch and nail the canvas, and then impregnate it, preparing the subframes for further work.

HIERARCHY OF MEANINGS

By properly juxtaposing and differentiating the elements of the composition, we will build a hierarchy of meanings, delineating the paths of movement of the viewer's gaze across the image.

SURREALISM

During the class, participants, through gesture, experiment and chance, will discover non-obvious forms emerging from the subconscious, creating images outside the established schemes of representation of reality.

SYNTHESIS

By choosing from reality the most characteristic features of the observed elements, we will simplify them and transform them into a coherent, synthetic painting form.

FUTURISM

Movement, speed and energy will become the starting point for pictorial representations inspired by futurism, which as a current in art showed fascination with the vitality of modernity through dynamic forms and rhythm of the image.

RAMA

These classes are for people who want to get to know the background of painting and framing works. You will assemble the frames with your own hands, choose their format and method of construction, knowing the basic rules and the meaning of preparing the frame of the picture.
