About the event

How to wash a monster with seven ears? We invite children to an extraordinary world of creatures and monsters, where hygiene becomes a real adventure! During the classes, participants will take on the roles of inventors and designers, creating unusual accessories for the care of their invented creatures.

How to wash a monster with seven ears? What to clean the fur of a shaggy creature? How to care for the teeth of a dragon or the antennae of a cosmic creature? Together we will consider why it is worth taking care of cleanliness and hygiene and what to do so that our fantastic beings are healthy, cared for and liked by others.

During the art part, children will design and make their own unusual hygiene devices — fur brushes, horn cleaners, wing washers or brushes for multiple rows of teeth. To create them, they will use paper, cardboard, creative foam, plasticine, beads, pompons, creative wires and many other materials. Each child will be able to design solutions tailored to the unique needs of their fantastic creature.

A difficult or boring topic of everyday hygiene is presented in the form of creative play with monsters in the lead role.

Designing invented objects and working with a variety of textured materials perfectly stimulate manual skills.

Reflecting on the needs of fantastic creatures naturally moves to reflecting on one's own habits and hygiene.

The classes are inspired by the exhibition of illustrations about hygiene by Esther Młowka, who in a light, humorous and imaginative form encourages the youngest to look at the daily rituals related to the care of cleanliness and well-being.

Florentyna Nastaj — a graduate of painting at the Faculty of Arts of the UMCS. He paints paintings, makes drawings, ceramic sculptures, and also designs posters and books for publishing houses for the youngest. She is the winner of the competition for the Most Beautiful Book of the Year. She cooperates with cultural institutions in Lublin and works as a graphic designer at Galeria Labirynt.
