About the event

What is hidden in the microscopic world? We invite children to discover the fascinating world of microorganisms that surround us every day, although they remain invisible to the naked eye. The starting point for creative play will be real bacteria and viruses, depicted in high magnification.

During the class, participants will create their own colorful bacteria and viruses using cardboard, plastic foam and a variety of creative materials. Moving eyes, colorful accessories and children's imagination will allow you to turn microorganisms invisible on a daily basis into funny and friendly creatures.

Together, we'll look at the unusual shapes and forms of bacteria and viruses, and then create their own, fantasy-filled versions of them. Creative play will become an opportunity to tame the topic of microorganisms and talk about hygiene and daily habits that help us take care of our health.

Children learn about the microbial world in a safe, friendly and humorous atmosphere, which reduces anxiety and builds healthy hygiene habits.

Working with a variety of materials (cardboard, foam, textures) stimulates the spatial imagination and manual skills of the little ones.

The workshop fits perfectly into the pro-health theme, combining natural knowledge with artistic expression outside the school bench.

The classes are inspired by the exhibition of illustrations about hygiene by Esther Młowka, who in a light, humorous and imaginative form encourages the youngest to look at the daily rituals related to the care of cleanliness and well-being.

Florentyna Nastaj — a graduate of painting at the Faculty of Arts of the UMCS. He paints paintings, makes drawings, ceramic sculptures, and also designs posters and books for publishing houses for the youngest. She is the winner of the competition for the Most Beautiful Book of the Year. She cooperates with cultural institutions in Lublin and works as a graphic designer at Galeria Labirynt.
