Wazn Teez?

A theatre spectacle for the whole family, which takes you into an enchanting world of insects and invites you to be amazed.

“Wazn Teez? ” — “What is that? “, Ixi, Fleisel, Brumms, Sisseli and Otto von Ottowo, five curious insects, ask themselves when a tender shoot peeks out of the ground in spring. As the plant grows larger and shoots leaves, it is admired even more. Wouldn't that be a good place for a tree house? It is in full bloom in summer — “Iz an Freuenschuh! “, cheer the five. The mysterious Wandelings and the dreaded Tatta Schroxxler are also attracted to the plant. But then autumn comes, the plant fades away until the first snow falls and winter is here. — As everything is created, it passes again, only to sprout again. And when spring returns, a new sprout has grown...

“Wazn Teez? “tells of the wonder of life, a journey through the seasons and the solidarity of a group. The successful picture book by Carson Ellis and her linguistic “Insectic” was spun on by playwright Martin Heckmanns into an insect Esperanto that no one knew before and yet is understandable to everyone.

Artistic Director Alexander Riemenschneider stages a large family musical in which the ensemble dives into the world between blades of grass with songs and circus elements.
