Hiking to the north - Kino Konesera

Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido), once very close to each other, have not seen each other for 10 years. Friends decide - as in the good old days - to go on foot along the Scottish West Highland Way and The Cape Wrath Trail. A 30-day hike along some of the most beautiful, but also the most difficult routes in the UK, turns out to be a test of male friendship. Wild nature, steep approaches, stinging rains and swarms of fuzz present a real challenge for inexperienced travelers. But it is equally difficult to reach out to each other, to make silence not become the heaviest baggage, to look in perspective at what is left of a close relationship and at one's own life choices. While Chris can't get rid of his work phones, Lluis dreams of an expedition with a map instead of a GPS. One is in a hurry, the other would like to cover 600 kilometers at his own pace. Does the goal or the path matter? Each of them will have to answer that question. “Hiking North” takes a close look at young men, how they deal with stress, anger and sadness. Who are they when they get off the beaten track of roles and careers, what they lost along the way, whether they can stop, can they still count on each other.
