weed420 is one of the most forward-thinking names on Venezuela's music scene. Along with names like Los Thutanakas, the young collective is creating a soundtrack for a lost generation of the country's youth. Between tradition and futurism, they build frenetic, labyrinthine sound collages of noise, gloomy cloud rap and ambient, crossed with genres such as salsa and perreo. The result is radical protest music -- an artistic free space and a cultural counterforce amid Venezuela's political turmoil. Goat Inheritance opens the evening with a distorted audiovisual set.

With their DIY aesthetic, weed420 defies any commercial agenda. They mix lo-fi and vaporwave with somber cloud-rap vocals and ambient textures, crossing it with traditional genres like perreo and salsa from the '00s. Guitars, synths and distorted vocals act like the skeleton of an expression that sounds like hyper-emo and atmospheric reinterpretations of club music, carried by an exuberant and carefree energy.

weed420 is based in the Venezuelan city of Valencia. They met each other online and have been creating music together since 2021, but didn't meet physically until 2025. The debut “Amor de Encava” (2025) is inspired by the Venezuelan buses that serve as public transport. In a jumble of reggaetón, salsa baúl, pop memories and samples from the buses, weed420 creates a sonic mapping of lost everyday life and systemic disaster — like a dizzying trip through a country marked by deep political turmoil.
