Weekend at the Glyptotek is free when the entrance to the museum is paid.
Tickets for the tours cannot be pre-booked, but will be picked up in the ticket sales on the day. Tickets are not given out to groups of more than five. Larger groups are referred to book a private tour.
Children and adolescents under the age of 18 always enter free of charge.
The Romans wore colorful clothes and with lots of accessories, as you can see in the special exhibition Power and Fashion in the Roman Empire. In the workshop we open the door to the past with our imagination and we experiment with the dress and appearance of the Romans.
We work with photos of the sculptures, transparent paper and colors. Through the paper, you can measure your clothes or accessories. You can work scientifically and try to draw things as they looked back then, or just come up with them yourself. Togas, as well as jewelry, hats, sunglasses, new feet, new heads, etc. are welcome. After that, you cut out the dress and put it on the paper sculptures.
The whole thing is put together in an exhibition on large magnetic boards, and you can leave your designs hanging for inspiration for others or take them home to the fridge.
