Weekend with the senses — sensory workshops

If you want to try something new — come Saturday and Sunday (October 10-11) to the Delta Club for a weekend full of experimentation, creativity and exploring your own senses.

During the meeting, we will examine how touch, sound, light, color and smell affect our emotions, attention and the way we perceive the world.

People over the age of 14 are welcome to attend the event.

The program will include short introductions about the senses, sensory experiments and creative activities. We will create objects, paintings, collages, sounds and scent compositions.

Together we will look at, among other things:

— how touch affects the perception of materials and sound,

— how color and light change the meaning of an image

— how a shadow can build form,

— how sound is connected to emotions,

— how smell triggers associations and memories.

We will create our own works, prepare individual fragrance blends and see how the senses can be used in a creative and supportive way. Each participant will also receive an ebook playbook about the senses, which can be used for further exercises.

It is a proposal for people who want to stop for a moment, to know better their reactions to stimuli and to experience creativity as a tool of mindfulness, self-regulation and expression.

There is no need to know anything or prepare anything. Curiosity, openness and willingness to experiment and sensual fun are enough.

Admission to the class is free, but to take part in the class you need to get a free ticket — at the top of the “sign up” page. Each day is a different activity — if you want to attend both meetings, get separate tickets for each day. If you manage to be there only one day - choose the one that suits you. Tickets will be available from October 1st.

The event takes place as part of the project “SMS to locals”, which is implemented by the Municipal Cultural Center in Szczecin, the Słowianin Culture Center and the Culture Center “Skolwin Club”.

The project is financed by the Municipality of Szczecin.
