Opening: Piotr Karpiński — Immortals

I Wish You Live Forever | Your Ultimate Guide to the Matters of Life, Death, Time and Immortality

You too can be immortal. Or are you already?

Is death just an illusion?

Should you be afraid of your own death or the death of what you love? Or maybe fear is not a good solution here at all.

Piotr Karpiński at the exhibition in two places — at the BWA Gallery in Kielce and in the Gallery of Contemporary Sacred Art “Dom Praczki” — presents alternative paths on the concept of transience.

Behind a picture there is always a thought, an idea. Behind Piotr Karpiński's photographs stands time and its destructive, or perhaps rather transformative, character.

“There is no death” - did it occur to you that there is something in it?

The end is undeniably the beginning of “something” new. The beginning is a certain end. Energy never dies and disappears, it cannot be destroyed. In the object, the energy is closed, trapped.

Energy in the process changes and flows, passes from state to state. Do you think you are an object or a process?

Transition and mortality, or maybe immortality and future rebirth?

Opening 30 October 2026 at 18.00 opening of the exhibition at the BWA Gallery in Kielce at 19.00 second part of the opening in the Gallery of Contemporary Art Sacrum “Dom Praczki”
