Vernissage: Art in the neighborhood! Photographs by Małgorzata Sikora and collages by Daria Piechnik

Each settlement has its treasures, and the most beautiful of them are the hidden talents of its inhabitants. That's why at the Westerplatte Cultural Center we want to explore local creativity, look at the passions of our neighbors, and show them to a wider audience!

On 15 October at 17:30 we invite you to the opening of the exhibition opening the series Art in the Neighbourhood!. Two different forms of artistic storytelling will meet in our space — photographs by Małgorzata Sikora and collages by Daria Piechnik. Two techniques, two perspectives on reality and one joint exhibition. The opening will be an opportunity not only to see the works, but also to talk about creativity and get to know the artistic passions that develop right next to us. The exhibition will be available in the lobby of the House of Culture until October 30.

Art in the neighborhood! is an initiative of the Westerplatte Cultural Center, as part of which we make our exhibition space available to neighbors from the estate and the surrounding area. In this way, we want to discover and present the creativity, passions and hobbies of people from our neighborhood.

Painting, drawing, photography, collage, handicrafts, or maybe something that can not be so easily attributed to one category? We are open to various forms of creativity and author's ideas. You don't have to be a professional artist or have exhibitions — what matters is passion, your own way of seeing the world and the desire to share it with others.

Do you want to show your work? We are continuously recruiting! If you create and want to share your passion — contact us. Together we will organize your exhibition!
