The exhibition is a tribute to the jubilee of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP), an organization that has been integrating photographic communities around the world since 1950, promoting photography as an art and a language of dialogue between cultures. The anniversary of FIAP becomes an excellent excuse to recall the important role played by Polish artists in the international circulation of photography. Already from the early years of FIAP's activity, Poles won prestigious titles, entering the elite group of authors whose works co-created the directions of development of artistic photography. At the exhibition we present 62 photographs by 62 artists, awarded a total of 75 FIAP medals in international photo salons on different continents. These numbers are not just statistics: behind each award there is a separate story about the passion, consistency and sensitivity of the author. Gold, silver and bronze medals are a testament to the highest level — both artistic and technical — that has been going on for years
About the event
Gold, silver and bronze medals are a confirmation of the highest level — both artistic and technical — that has distinguished Polish photography from the world stage for years. Among the works presented we will find classic landscapes, portraits and reportages, but also experimental, conceptual photographs, engaging in dialogue with new media. This diversity is not accidental: it shows that Polish photography remains a living organism — open to change, sensitive to the present and constantly seeking new forms of expression. To participate in the project, I invited people who won a medal in the salon organized under the patronage of FIAP — this was the only condition for participation. Thanks to this, the exhibition brings together artists with an established position, winners of many awards, and at the same time authors who stand at the threshold of the artistic path. Such a conscious choice allows you to see the full spectrum of the Polish photographic scene: from masters with many years of experience to young artists bringing freshness and a new perspective. The exhibition has already visited Tuchów, Zamość, Frombork, Rzeszów, Świdnica. Now it's the turn to Olsztyn and further galleries — among others in the cities: Krakow, Warsaw, Olkusz, Częstochowa, Tarnów (and in other locations). The project has not only the character of summarizing and celebrating the successes of Polish photographers, but also has a clear educational and popularizing dimension. The exhibition presents photographs of the following authors: Dorota Kycia, Tomasz Okoniewski, Grzegorz Lewandowski, Krzysztof Muskalski, Alicja Przybyszowska, Zygmunt Trylanski, Kamila Wiśniewska-Hałka, Maciej Jozwiak, Jan Brdej, Łukasz Gurdak, Jan Jaskuła, Rafał Kźmierczak, Adam Ksijek Paulina Michałek, Elżbieta Rogaczewska-Czepinska, Maria Rybczyńska, Tomasz Sobczak, Piotr Sygnarowicz, Bartłomiej Bałaban, Piotr Bernacki, Piotr Bieniek, Sławomir Długołecki, Marcin Finn, Marek Hasso-Agopsowicz, Bożena Kaczmarczyk, Przemysław Kruk, Katarzyna Leszczyńska-Kaszuba, Anita Muskalska, Tomasz Pisarski, Beata Podcka, Marcin Sacha, Paweł Ulaniuk, Radek von Hirschberg, Piotr Wyrzykowski, Jerzy Bergander, Ewa Burns, Mirosław Chmiel, Krzysztof Gałek, Bogdan Głowacki, Jan Gomoła, Artur Jastrzębski, Ewa Jezowska-Charchut, Wojciech Kobylaek Dominika Koszowska, Rafal Koścień, Sebastian Kuczyński, Bogdan Litwora, Grzegorz Narozanski, Mateusz Niemczura, Tatiana Pędziwiatr, Bartosz Poelec, Mirosław Rak, Maria Romanek, Małgorzata Sikora, Marian Skąpski, Jerzy Skiba, Wojciech Smolkowski, Monika Stachnik-Czapski Krzysztof Słęzak, Katarzyna Waranska, Dagmara Wis, Artur Wysocki. The exhibition will be presented until 30 November.
