Opening of the exhibition “Cuckoo. The power of dreams.”

Festive opening of the exhibition “Cuckoo. The Power of Dreams” — the first such extensive and modern exhibition dedicated to one of the most outstanding Himalayists in history. The exhibition focuses on the last decade of Jerzy Kukuczka's life, which was the time of his greatest Himalayan achievements. It is a multi-threaded journey from the gray realities of Poland in the 1980s and work on the industrial chimneys of Silesia, to the highest peaks of the world. See how the collision of life's prose with uncompromising passion gave birth to the golden age of Polish Himalaya.

In the exhibition space, unique historical souvenirs are combined with modern multimedia. The unique rank of the presented heritage is confirmed by the fact that in 2024 it was included in the prestigious UNESCO list “Memory of the World”.

Admission to the event is free and the entire meeting will be translated into Polish Sign Language (PJM).
