We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition “From East to West” by Agata Jabłońska- Smolińska presenting the artist's works from the last 30 years, which will take place on Friday, October 23 at 6 p.m.
Agata Jabłońska-Smolińska has been using fabric in her work for more than 40 years, sewing and decorating clothes, interiors, tents, and for many years she has preferred paintings. It combines different fabrics and uses different techniques experimenting with each job. She often uses used clothes, hand-dyed bedding, scraps of fabric and leftover threads, everything that falls into her hands and can be stitched. The favorite motif is the figure of a man.
The artist belongs to the Polish Patchwork Association (SPP), with whom she has repeatedly participated in collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He also sends his works to exhibitions organized by the European Quilt Associacion (EQA) and individually to the largest exhibitions in Europe. Her work has also traveled beyond Europe — to Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the USA. So far she has had 5 solo exhibitions, the largest of which in 2025 in Brno at the Brno Patchwork Meeting.
