Versailles

When a young Mexican politician loses the presidential election, he sews up with his wife in his impressive country estate. Under idyllic circumstances, their lust for power grows, and the couple pupates into a duo of despotic monarchs. “Versailles” is a grotesque tale about dark desires and classiness. It is also an exceptionally true satire on power, embellished with a baroque twist and theatrical exaggeration.

Starring Cuautla Jiménez, known, among others, for “Finland” shown during the first edition of LFF and productions such as “Narcos: Mexico” and “Long live Mexico”. The film is produced by Nicolás Celis, creator of the Oscar-winning “Roma” by Alfonso Cuaron.
