Two performances by the Alexandra Palace Young Actors Company (ages 16–28) and the Ally Pally Ensemble (ages 50+)

From early television to today’s digital landscape, the way we consume information has reshaped public debate. Big ideas are often reduced to quick takes, while real people live through the impact of rapid technological change.

These performances brings these questions to life through two new pieces by our Young Actors Company (16–28), directed by Martin Murphy, and the Ally Pally Ensemble (50+), directed by Suzy Catliff, offering intergenerational perspectives on media, memory and the changing nature of public discourse.

It’s The Auntie’s 90th birthday, a community pub with something for everyone. The local residents come together for a street party to celebrate this, but not all is well inside the homes of the locals. From family domestics at Old Meg’s House to student arguments over who’s been stealing Sarah’s energy drinks we explore the lives of the people on this Alexandra Palace street. The play explores how people of different generations use forms of media for entertainment. This show promises fun, drama and lots of laughs.
