The show is a tender, humorous journey through the world of objects and small and large people looking at them. It invites children aged 3-6 and their caregivers_babysitters into a world where ordinary, sometimes old or “imperfect” objects discover their hidden superpowers. The Sticky Fingers Club collective, drawing on the idea of upcycling, brings forgotten elements of theatrical scenery and abandoned objects back to life. Creators encourage fantasy and show that diversity and imperfection can be the source of beauty.
ATTENTION! Please come to the show in comfortable attire. Part of the show is joint fun, to which we invite you without shoes.
Sticky Fingers Club is a collective of graduates of the Faculty of Dance Theatre in Bytom PWST in Krakow composed of: Daniel Komęder, Dominik Wiak, Dominik Więcek, Monika Witkowska. The beginning of their activity was the work on the play Sticky Fingers Club, which received the 2nd prize in the National Competition for the Best Performance of Independent Theater “The Best OFF”, and an award as part of the 55th Review of Small Form Theaters KONTRAPUNKT 2021 in Szczecin. As a consequence of working with the theme of “failure” in the performance, the collective created the author's workshop Fake it till you make it. Other projects include a performance based on the works of the artist and fashion designer Sara Kukier Niepok Comes at Dusk presented at the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, participation in the performance VALESKA VALESKA VALESKA VALESKA directed and choreographed by Dominika Knapik (2022), the performance GLORY GAME choreographed by Dominik Więcek with the participation of the entire collective and guests: Natalika Dinges and Piotr Stank (2023) and the performance Breakfast on the Grass for the choreographic opening of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
Productions by the collective have been shown in Poland, among others, as part of the program “Stage for Dance” of the National Institute of Music and Dance, “Teatr Polska 2025” of the Zbigniew Raszewski Theater Institute in Warsaw and abroad in China, Slovenia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Greece. GLORY GAME was included in the prestigious selection of Aerowaves #Twenty25, Sticky Fingers Club and VALESKA VALESKA VALESKA VALESKA in the final selection of the Polish Dance Platform 2024.
Creative artists in their artistic work move on the border of theater, choreography and performance. They like to challenge their own habits, deconstruct theatricality and listen to both the common voice and the individual ones. In the process of work, they seek inclusiveness and distance. They are interested in self-irony, play-based work and permission to redraw.
