Polish evening at Buffo - It's worth getting drunk
Full of anecdotes and interactions with the audience, Wieczór Polski is a musical and theatrical impression on the influence of alcohol on the work of Polish artists.
Studio Buffo Theatre ensemble, excellent interpretations of songs by Tuwim, Hemar or Osiecka, musical toasts performed together with Janusz Stokłosa's audience and orchestra. Polish evening is probably the most entertaining evening in our repertoire.
We invite you!
Janusz Jozefowicz
During the performance, viewers are treated to alcohol.
Could Polish culture exist without a bit of bubbles in the head? What if we looked at her events through a slightly skewed glass — with a smile, music and a big dose of theatrical energy?
“Polish Evening — Get drunk is worth it” is a colorful, musical and theatrical impression of how alcohol (sometimes gently, sometimes without asking permission) mixed with the inspiration of Polish artists and left behind songs that we know and love.
Nothing here is a school conversation — it is rather a brilliant, sung evening, after which you leave lighter for worries and heavier for good memories.
The outstanding performers of the Studio Buffo Theater meet on the stage, and in their interpretations the works of the masters of the word come to life: from pre-war finesse to poetic irony and tenderness. The songs of Tuwim, Hemar or Osiecka sound fresh here, with a claw, humor
and touching, as if they were created yesterday - only with a better text. Each issue is a little story: about love, weaknesses, fantasies, crazy nights and mornings that... well, were not always masterful. But isn't that the most human?
The biggest fun? Interaction with the audience. This is not a spectacle that is watched “politely from an armchair”. Here you are part of the event: you can laugh together with the artists, raise musical toasts and let yourself be drawn into the atmosphere of joint celebration. The orchestra led by Janusz Stokłosa leads this evening with a steady hand, once it will swing like a waltz, once it will turn up the tempo like at the best party — and all live, here and now, without half-measures.
“Polish Evening” has something of a cabaret, something of a concert and something of a theatrical tale. It is light, but not shallow; funny, but with a hint of reflection. Because although the theme revolves around alcohol, the show does not moralize — rather it shows how different faces a creative soul can have. One glass at a time, some become poets, others heroes of anecdotes that are later told for years. And you? Will you come and see where in this story you will find yourself?
This is a proposal for an evening when you want to laugh, listen to great songs and feel that special closeness to the stage and the audience. About 100 minutes pass here surprisingly quickly - to the rhythm of familiar melodies, brilliant jokes and emotions that once warm the heart,
they tickle the ribs once. The show is intended for viewers from the age of 12, and it is worth remembering that there are stronger accents: loud music, flashing lights, interactions with the audience and the topic of addiction — all given in a form that entertains, but also leaves room for your own thoughts.
If you want the most entertaining evening in Buffo's repertoire, in which the Polish song meets theatrical temperament, and the audience is not just a spectator, but a companion of this journey — “Get drunk is worth it” is waiting for you.
