CRACOW GUITAR QUARTET is recognized as the leading Polish guitar band.

The quartet was formed in 2006. It is co-created by artists associated with Krakow: Miłosz Mączyński, Joanna Baran-Nosiadek, Łukasz Dobrowolski and Mateusz Puter.

The band takes part in many musical projects both in Poland and abroad, performs at the most prestigious guitar music festivals, conducts master classes for young virtuosos of this instrument, and has recordings for Polish Radio and Television (including a recorded concert in the Polish Radio studio).

In 2009, the Cracow Guitar Quartet received the 1st prize at the 12th International Guitar Competition in Île de Ré, France. In the following years, the band and its members won awards at international music competitions. Among the most important distinctions were: Grand Prix at the 5th International Master Competition for Music Educators in Warsaw (2017), 3rd prize at the XV Altamira Gorizia International Guitar Competition in Gorizia (Italy, 2018), 1st prize at the International Moscow Music Competition in Moscow (Russia, 2020), 1st prize at the 5th Danubia Talents International Music Competition in Budapest (Hungary) Games, 2020), 2nd prize at the 94th Concours International Leopold Bellan in Paris (France, 2020),), 1st prize at The Muse International Music Competition in Athens ( Greece, 2021) and 3rd prize at the Lake Como Virtuoso International Competition in Bellano (Italy, 2023).

In 2010, CM Records released the album From Ballet to Tango, showing the beauty and richness of dance music from the Renaissance to the present day. The album received excellent reviews in the Polish and foreign music press.

In 2019, the band represented Poland at a special Cracow Guitar Quartet concert at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh. In April 2022, with the release of DUX Recording Producers, the quartet released the album Musical Landscapes, gaining great interest among music lovers. In 2023, the album was awarded the Global Music Awards in the category of classical music in the USA.

The ensemble also performs as a quartet of soloists accompanied by symphony orchestras, including the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Krakow Philharmonic, the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, the Sudeck Philharmonic, the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra and the Polish Art Philharmonic.

Cracow Guitar Quartet has performed at festivals such as: International Guitar Festival in Ile de Ré, International Guitar Academy Festival in Poznań, Nuits Romanes International Festival (Poitou-Charentes, France), Czesław Droździewicz International Guitar Festival in Krynica-Zdrój, International Chamber and Organ Music Festival in Wyżiełzowiecki Lipowec, International Festival — Wrocław Guitar Festival GITARA and International Festival — Lubuskie Guitar Meetings in Zielona Góra, International Guitar Festival BRNO ( Czech Republic), International Festival of Ivan Ball in Dolný Kubin (Slovakia), International Guitar Festival — Modra (Slovakia), Konzertreihe Gerlando in Hirvogelsaal in Nuremberg (Germany), Gitarrenfestival in der KlangmannuFaktur in Hof (Germany), Varenna Festival on Lake Como (Italy), International Music Festival named after Krystyn Jamroz, International Festival Pearl of the Baroque — Concerts of Masters, International Festival — World Music in Polanica-Zdrój, International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions Silesia, International Music Festival in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Orava Guitar Days, Days of Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz in Krakow, Biecz Music Summer — Festival of Chamber and Organ Music, Festival of Music in Historic Churches and Interiors of the Principality of Nyski, Festival of Organ and Chamber Music in Częstochowa, Barbakan Music Festival, Lutheran Festival of Chamber Music and Organ Music on the Royal Course and the Summer Festival of Music on the Water in Szczawnica.

An important place of artistic activity of the ensemble are also Polish musical institutions, including the Karol Szymanowski Krakow Philharmonic, the Fryderyk Chopin Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, the Artur Malawski Podkarpackie Philharmonic in Rzeszów, the Oskar Kolberg Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce, the Sul Philharmonic The Józef Wiłkomirski Concert Hall in Wałbrzych, the Gorzów Philharmonic, the Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Katowice, the Palace of the Bishops of Krakow in Kielce, as well as the Polish Bach Society.

In 2026, the Cracow Guitar Quartet celebrates the 20th anniversary of the band's artistic activity.
