We invite you to an unusual visit to the temporary exhibition “Krakow. Sounds, melodies, words”, which will be accompanied by a performance of the Saxophone Quartet.
“Cracow. Sounds, melodies, words” is an exhibition that invites you to listen to the sound of the city. What gives it a special atmosphere are the musicians performing not only on the stage and club stages, but also in the courtyards and squares. On Friday night, live music will also play in the exhibition space, creating a saxophone setting for stories about street sounds, the melody of the bugle and the timeless sound of bells.
The Saxophone Quartet, created in 2009 out of fascination with saxophone chamber music, will play for us. It consists of four graduates of the Academy of Music in Krakow: Maria Gęgotek, Aleksandra Skierka-Przybyłka, Karolina Sroka and Paulina Owczarek. This evening they will perform works by contemporary composers and the Duke Ellington standard.
Conducted by: dr Monika Widzicka, Saxophone
Finally, we invite you to the relaxation area, where the participants will be treated to an autumn treat.
On Friday, October 9, the exhibition can be visited until 20:00. Last entry to the exhibition at 19:30.
