The Great Marty, directed by Josh Safdie, USA, 2025
Feature, Comedy-Drama, Sports
Marty dreams of greatness, although few believe that he can achieve it. He has talent, extraordinary self-confidence and does not recognize half-measures. In pursuit of success, she bends the rules, takes risks, bluffs and becomes entangled in relationships that can take him to the top or lead to spectacular failure. Every triumph has its price, and in a world where talent is not always enough, the line between ambition and obsession is gradually blurring.
In a film loosely inspired by the life of legendary American table tennis champion Marty Reisman, Josh Safdie portrays a man driven by an unquenchable need to prove his worth to the world.
